The letter A
Ants on a log (oldie but goodie)
- put peanut butter (or cream cheese or icing) on a stick of celery
- stick raisins on the spread to be the ants
I like to do this on an apple so you have apple with A and "ants" for A as well
Mini Apple Pies
I LOVE this idea. A parent of one of my students introduced me to this years ago. It is super yummy!
You need: biscuit dough (in the tube is easiest), cinnamon and sugar (sprinkle amounts), and either sliced apples or applesauce (the amount depends on how many you make)
I love the Pillsbury biscuits so I use those but any should work.
- Take as many biscuit dough sections as you want for the # of mini pies you want to make
- Roll them flat
- put applesauce (or one thick apple slice) on half of the rolled out dough
- fold the dough over the applesauce and pinch the edges so it looks like a simi circle
- sprinkle cinnamon and sugar on the top of the dough (you can also do this on the inside if you choose to)
- bake at 350 degrees for about 15 minutes
- If you use apple slices instead of applesauce, you may have to baker longer
- ENJOY!!!!!
