I will be adding to this as we go along...

The letter A

Ants on a log (oldie but goodie)

  • put peanut butter (or cream cheese or icing) on a stick of celery
  • stick raisins on the spread to  be the ants
I like to do this on an apple so you have apple with A and "ants" for A as well

Mini Apple Pies
I LOVE this idea. A parent of one of my students introduced me to this years ago. It is super yummy!

You need: biscuit dough (in the tube is easiest), cinnamon and sugar (sprinkle amounts), and either sliced apples or applesauce (the amount depends on how many you make)

I love the Pillsbury biscuits so I use those but any should work.

  • Take as many biscuit dough sections as you want for the # of mini pies you want to make
  • Roll them flat
  • put applesauce (or one thick apple slice) on half of the rolled out dough
  • fold the dough over the applesauce and pinch the edges so it looks like a simi circle
  • sprinkle cinnamon and sugar on the top of the dough (you can also do this on the inside if you choose to)
  • bake at 350 degrees for about 15 minutes
  • If you use apple slices instead of applesauce, you may have to baker longer
  • ENJOY!!!!!
